My oh my oh my.
It’s been FAR too long since I have posted. Life, this thing that happens at an alarming pace doesn’t allow me a moment to breathe. And when it does, I chose to take this time out to catch up on much needed sleep. Sigh. Also, when every other weekend is spent on a bicycle, or falling on the downhill track, I am left nursing bruises, with no “umpf “ to go out and take photos.
2 weekends ago (even my posting is delayed! *lowers head in shame*), I ventured off to Zululand with Jody, for the French Presence in KZN weekend. 2 very tired bodies made their way up to Dundee and Nqutu to commemorate the death of the Prince Imperial who was killed during the Anglo-Zulu war.
We got a chance to be marshalls for the 5km Ladies run. This was a really humbling experience, as these brave ladies ran 5km on a dusty dirt road. Most ran barefoot, whilst some ran in plakkies, others in pumps! They were very grateful to see us with juice and biscuits at the halfway mark. Jody then ran the last 2.5km with the stragglers.
Moi as always, prefers to be behind the camera, but Jody managed to snap a few shots before I requested to have my “child” back.
